its too rich now ...lean out the needle one clip towards blunt end and probably drop the main one size as well ,watch the plug for problems
that'll work or you can buy individual jets from jetsrus.com kinda weird that it's runnin rich with aftermarket reeds on stock jet tho... you clean your air filter lately?
boysen reeds are cheap, do they make a diffrence?
the reeds are after the carb ,its a bottleneck
better responding reeds allow more fuel(and yes some air too) in ..often more fuel passes than the air though ,a proper air/fuel ratio must be established for the bike to run correctly ,in this case usually you would drop the main a couple sizes depending on other parameters of the engine.basicly if the new high flowing aftermarket filter cant cancel this richening effect out,then the main would need to be leaner to reduce the fuel to compensate
i ordered a jet kit, i think it goes 260-290, it comes with a 230 stock, if i put a 290 in it is it going to work?
evry bike is different youll just have to see and jet it accordingly
