hahah alright do u think if i mill my head .025 and use 93 octane will i be good with my stock carb? or would i have to get a bigger one?
theres a thread stickied on top of the engine forum, it shows increments of 10 thousandths i believe and the more you shave, the higher the compression. also higher compression does=more power, but to a certain degree. just like eating a whole box of oreos is a mistake, too much of a good thing is never good lol

DON;T BOTHER MILLING IT!!!! just have the head rechambered.. most places only charge another $40 over the price of just a mill.. it;s WELL WORTH the extra $40
i'm telling you that statement is not accurate.. mill a bunch off a stock blaster head and run it.. it'll HURT performance at a certain point.. the more you mill the less squish clearance.. and the higher the compression. get up around 200PSI adn watch your upper RPM power fall off..

i never said mill 3 inches off the head? but a general rule is the higher compression the more power. look at the stickied thread.
thats absolutly f*cking wonderful... what i'm saying is that not teh best setup.. and for a litel extra $$ you can have the combustion chamber cut CORRECTLY!!!! taking squish clearnace out is good to a point.. i saw somoen say they have .125" clearance.. so yeah pulling soem of that out will help ya.. but if youir going to pull teh damn head off andf ship it to somebody to have it milled why not spend and extra $40 and have the combustion chambers reshaped... your going to get more power on less octane with less timing advance.. this is teh last tiem i'm saying anyhing about it. obvisouly people think they know everythign and dont listen when someone tries to give them an honest helping hand..
i think what 370 is trying to tell you is,the blaster cylinder head already sucks to begin with, just raising the compression is not going to do much if anything for you,the squish clearance and squish band are bad to start and they will be bad after you "mill" the head.

you are an angry individual, calm down man, its a man to man conversation and apparently you cant have without without bitching.
im not trying to argue with you but im going by what i heard, and if im wrong, or mislead, i will gladly accept your method. but you dont have to be a dick about it
i saw one thing i wanna clear up.. somebody said more compression = more HP.. that not completely true.. in fact too much compression will hold back high RPM and therefore upper end HP.. also "milling" a head.. ore removing material from just the gasket surface is not an ideal setup.. yamaha left much to be desired in the way of 2 stroke combustion chamber design..
this is very similar to what chutzel said... this milling head BS is a hot topic aroudn here i guess. there are liek 3 threads with people telling me i don't know WTF i'm talking about with these milled heads BS..
