Well I just got my ported jug back today but I didn't get my head shaved yet an my dads bikes is ported with his head milled with a toomey an it skits well mine was just turdy an I put my pipe is on bike an it ran really good down low an midrange an good on top put it on mine it just felt like total sh*t an I'm dissapointed is the head going to make a big diff I no I needed to go up on my pilot but still an his is bored 80 over an boring does make a lot difference beside compression?? so my ? Is does the head getting shaved where the powers at or part of it at least??

The boring doesn't make a dif... the head work will make a dif.... and overall the performance could be bad for alot of dif reason.... port timing, jetting, bad port work, bigger carb needed for port work, wrong pipe for port work etc...... I'd get the head done and go from there... also if u have a stock carb u need a 28 or 30

The head is not going hurt the porting. You may have to Rejet your carb for it. What shoe of porting did you get? Trail, aggressive trail, MX, Drag?

Have you re jetted?

What was the results of the leak down test you did after assembly?

You said you got your jug back today. What break in proceedure did you do?

Soo the head is going to make a difference

yes, but not a huge difference. impossible to tell state of tune by a pic of the intake. if you have pictures of the exhaust and transfers we can give you a better idea. or know some measurements of the ports, from the deck, or what timing they were set at. hope it works out for you, whats the cranking compression?

The redesigned one is on the right .

So, you just got the intake cleaned up and boysens put in? How about pics of the inside of the jug, and the exhaust port! If ya only got the intake cleaned up not really gonna do much.

It would be very helpfull if you could answer some or all of the questions being asked of you, so people can have a clear idea on how they may help you.

In answer to your initial question, the milling of your head could make some improvement depending on the extent of your porting.

There is no need to change the pilot jet as a #32.5 stock jet will work just fine unless you have a BBK with wild porting.

It depends on the pipe and the extent of porting as to which main jets you choose.

I am somewhat concerned that you have slapped the motor together, and in your eagerness to ride it you have bypassed some vital checks, and proceedures.

Have you done a leak down test, have you done heat cycles and re tightened the head and jug bolts?

Have you attempted to rejet for the pipe and porting starting on the rich side?

Have you ridden at least a tank of gas without giving it more than 3/4 throttle?

Have you done a plug chop?
