pro circuit pipe
port polish
airbox lid off
foam air filter

I have jets 230 240 250 260 270 280 300

I tried the 280 first and it bogged in the middle like it was rich no backfires just bogged and sputteredbumped to 260 and it boggs all down low it actually backfired and stalled like it was to lean I thought i blew it up but i didn't

But i wanna start over, where should i put my needle, airscrew and what jet should I start with?

put the 300 in, needle clip on middle position.
try it, then if it needs moe you can move the clip to a richer setting
you may need to get some bigger jets.
maybe go get a 320 main and see what happens.

changeing the main jet will not effect down low or up top what it afects is how much gas you get at throttle postion did you do a plug chop at all with any of these only way to tell if your realy rich or lean a 260 and it did it im going to say you are very lean you need more then a 260 for the air box lid gone and the pipe i would try like a 310 or 320 and see what happens best of luck to you

I put the 300 in now it wont start? I have spark and I have 120 psi of compression. when I take out my plug its wet like its too rich could that be possible?

sounds like the plug is fouled now, change it

and the main jet doesnt have jack squat to do with starting it, or idle, or the bog in the middle

the pilot jet, which you'll be leaving stock size 32.5, and the airscrew setting, usually under 2 turns out effect starting, idle, and untill the needle starts adding fuel around 1/4 throttle
set the airscrew at 1 1/2 turns out to start, then adjust a little at a time until it idles the highest and revs clean when stabbing the throttle

before doing any of that, the float level should always be
checked/adjusted to 20 - 21.5 mm

the needle clip should be in the middle clip down, possibly/rarely 4th position down

after you get the start, idle, and mids adjusted, move on to the main jet, which i will agree with the above......start around a 320/330 and work down doing plug chops along the way, i'm gonna say no lower than the 280/290

when a plug fouls do I need to change it, because I had a feeling it was so I took it out hit it with the air hose and put it back in?

Btw When I had it out I plugged it in and kicked it and there was spark. Ive done this a million times and my plug keeps coming out wet

the plug is fouled, on a 2 stroke oil gets up inside the porcelein and it will short out internally instead of sparking externally at the tip
get a new one

Is there to much oil on filter? That wiil drive you nutz. Double check float level and operation. I've had plugs that look fine and spark not work when in engine. If you can leave plug out with piston at BDC to let excess fuel evaporate out, cover plug hole with rag.

Theres no oil on the filter when I bought the quad I cleaned it with the k&n cleaner but never used the oil and what should my bowl level be when I measure it. I saw the DIY on how to do it

So I have the stock reeds in there now and the 300 jet with my airscrew at 1 1/2 turns no matter where I put it I cant get it to idle why is that?
