Hi all.

Can anybody provide the correct torque number (in newton NM) for tightning the head bolts and the cylinder to the engine block, although i DON´T see how anyone can use a torquewrench on the bolts from the cylinder to the engine block, due to tight space....

Im buying a torque wrench to the headbolts atleast.

regards

for torqueing the lower cylinder down i used a crows foot wrench and put the torque number up 2 clicks on the wrench. hopefully you know what a crows foot wrench is cause i dont know the appropriate name for it. but it was a serious pain in the ass to do . if you get a couple of u-joint style socket adapters that might work too.
as far as converting this page will help(its on the right hand side)

yeah use a crows foot or a dogbone. Remember to keep the crows foot at 90 degree to the torque wrench or youll have to re calculate the torque because the torque wrench is calibrated to be the length of the wrench only.

Hi guys, my enligsh is pretty good but I must admit i have never heard of a crows foot ?! Please explain? ..

The wrench i have bought for the head turns either side from top, then click over when at correct torque.. but how can I possible connect that when the cylinder bolts needs to be "pulled to the side" to tightning.

Please explain or picture crows foot and dog bone

i didnt torque the jug just the head at 20lbs and if you were to torque it it would 18lbs for the jug to the case...

MOtion pro makes a tool just for this purpose.. Its only like $8-10 and is invaluable in this situation.

A crows foot is a very short open end wrench, but has a 3/8 square hole for a ratchet (in this case a torque wrench)

Motion pro wrench:
Amazon.com: Motion Pro Torque Wrench Adapter - --/--: Automotive

Thats the correct tool for the job. There is a formula to correct for the length of the adapter included with the wrench.

If you want to guess use these:
