Do you really have to cut it.. Can't you see if it's white or dark?

So if intake off the air box lid I would have to go up probably like to a 235 instead of the stock 230

if you take the air box lid you have to rejet. dont know by how much but yes u have to rejet.

I'm currently getting mine rebuilt. I will ask him to get the carb correct and then when it's winter I'll go up like like ten jet sizes

nononono do it right. if not it can hurt your pocket. its simple to do. but yes you do have to cut the threads to get a proper reading

Oh okay well I'm gunna let the mechanic get the carb correct and I'll plug chop it every so often and I want to get a compression tester soon too.

i think all would rather run rich. but if you jet correctly for the weather you should be good. you can jet a little rich to make u sleep better

Alright thanks. My motor seized I think... I never let it warm up and went riding and whomped on the as right away.. It did pretty good for stock pistons.. It's a 1995 def time for a rebuild

I put the gold series header and fmf powercore on mine with a 290 jet and it would run great for a minute then flood it was bad.. I'm thinking like a 260 would be good for that

after you rebuild it do a proper break in/heat cycles. let it warm up to proper running temp while doing so vary the rpms then let it cool down to cold. and do about 4 or 5 times. then take it easy no w.o.t right away for a long period of time. also with proper jetting. and befor every ride warm it up to proper running temp.

Only 3 heat cycles is necessary...Ken O'Connor did a video and emphasized, definitely no less, but 3 is sufficient. It is on YouTube, and a thread here.

I've read alot about the heat cycles. Seems easy. After 5 heat cycles can I warm it up and get it going fast but not full throttle

ive heard diffrent on heat cycles. ive heard 3 ive heard 6 i am going to do 4 just to be sure.

Me too. When adjusting the carb... Is it hard? Like I think I can do it but I don't want it to blow again. Anyone have easy simple instructions how they do it?

Yep wiseco is legendary for their pistons they last fantastically long (provided you take care of your bike) but for the prices on e-bay compared to Vertex and Namura you dumbfoundly cant beat em.
