Pistons?

been running the same wiseco slug for 2-1/2 years now, still has great compression

slick will get you a great leaktester

it dropped one i was riding. it was jetted for 60 and it dropped to like 47. in a matter of 20 mins:( and i didnt know cause i was wearing what i wore to go snowmobiling in. and i was sweating like crazy

Alright seems like Wiseco is better lol but I'm new to two strokes. I usually have four strokes... You really have to rejet for cold weather??

I just looked in the manual and it says 14f to -22f is when you need to rejet. It doesn't get that cold where I lie.. Even if it does sometimes I won't be riding when it's that cold lol But I'll be sure to plug chop it..

if you do something to give it more air flow you have to rejet. more air= needs more gas or engine runs lean and all ur fresh work goes down the drain

Plug chop.

Warm up motor to operating temp.

Fit new B8ES plug, ride through the gears and hold WOT in 5th or 6th gear for 10 seconds, or as long as you can safely.

Switch of the motor and pull in the clutch, roll to a stop.

Take the plug out and replace the old one for the ride home.

Carefully cut the threaded end off the plug to expose the insulator.

There should be a smoke ring of a cardboard or biscuit colour around the insulator.

If it is non existant or a very light colour, you are lean and require a larger main jet.

If it is a lot darker you are rich and may go down a size in main.

I prefer to run a little on the darker side, I may loose a little power but it is worth it for the peace of mind that I won't need a rebuild so soon.

running rich is better then running lean. and ^^^ nice i couldnt quite remember the whole steps cause i havent had to do any yet cause i dont even have it running yet

So if intake off the air box lid I would have to go up probably like to a 235 instead of the stock 230

It all depends where the jetting is now, any drastic change in temp, doing a plug chop is a smart thing to do.
