Hi im new to upgrading bikes i dont know much about it but have been doing some research any help would be appeciated, thanks in advance. I have a 2006 blaster and have put a fmf pipe spacers on rear and front tyres got better back tyres the kenda looks flat dont know the make though and just bought one size bigger front sproket and stage 2 jet kit. Will the jet kit really make any difference and i wanted to do the motor up but the vito 240cc cylinder upgrade is out of my price range if i buy the piston kit and get a friend to bore the cylinder will it be any different to purchasing the vito kit. Thanks again for the help :-D

The jet kit will help you tremendously with the right jets for what you are running. I run a 72.5mm piston without a vitos kit and Ive never riden a blaster with a vitos kit but I think they are pretty much the same. Ive heard vitos doesnt do a very big port job or nothing at all. Your better off getting you tock jug and head worked to what you want. And then you also know exactly what you have instead of someone telling you what you THINK you have. Dont get me wrong on Vitos, they are good people to work with. I have many partd on my bike from them but Ive heard that they just dont build their 240 kit to what they make them sound.

Need help

I just got a 76.50 piston for my blaster got every thing back together the arrow pointing towards the front.kick it a few time it did not seen to have that strong a kick.well it started but did not sound that great....it sounded like the rings were rattling in the cylinder and would not stay running? wrong size piston? it seemed tight.........lost..

yes the jet kit will make a diff.. proper jetting will make the most power available from what your working with.. not to mention make it safer to run

Thanks guys one more question what size piston is the best (most reliable) im looking to get more torque and top end without damaging anything I:I

there is no best size just whatever size it takes to get a good surface for the rings boreing out a motor does barley anything performance wise when it comes to 2 strokes its like giving your cylender a tune up....well unless you get a big bore kit then you will notice power increase..
