Piston Question

Ok so i took my cylinder to the shop and got it measured. They said i need to go with a .50 over which makes it a 66.50mm bore. So my question is where is a good place to get a set for it Piston,Rings,Circlips all that good stuff and what price range am i looking at and if the gaskets don't come with the set what brand should i get if someone could post a link that would be helpful.

I would check ebay for the piston and gasket set. You want to use cometic or oem gaskets all the other brands are known to leak. As far as the piston I would use wiseco piston kit.

since you are in PA why don't you just ship your topend to ken Oconnor and have him get you a piston and do the bore for ya. maybe even a head mod for a little added power. He is a great dude and he will order the piston for ya.

Have some rep for listening to advice dude. I know you want to be up and runnin quickly but you have already started to learn that the quick way isnt' right. see if you had ordered the next size piston you would have been wrong.

sometimes price can't be an option. you might have to wait. but you can send it to him and pay him before he shipps it back. you want an oem base gasket for sure. the rest arent as important. his bore work is really affordable and he charges like 10bux more for a piston kit that has all good parts no cheap stuff

The shop around the corner only charges 60 for a bore thats only 5 more then Kens and they do good work i can get oem base gaskets from bike bandit right

I had a local shop that seemed to be very knowlegeable do my cylinder once and he fugged it all up. I won't send mine to anyone but the guys that are endorced by all the sites members. wildcardracing, flotek, chultzel, kenoconnor, and there are more i'm forgetting, stroked tatter is one too

No im not gonna order my piston from there just the gaskets since they have oem gaskets

You get what you pay for. If it's a T-shirt, who cares about the quality. Internal engine parts....a few extra bucks now many save you a bunch down the road.
