PiSton is cracked!!!!!

Ok so i'm looking about fitment for the carb and i decide to check the reeds, my brother did he said they were cool but oh well might as well double check.


The reeds are good but for whatever reason i reach in to feel the side of the piston and i feel the crack.


God dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Crazy thing is that it hit 170 on the compression go figure.

thats wild man.. sucks though... guy afriend of mine know( the reson i run pro honda hp2) finnaly had to pull the head on his 250r cuz head gasket was leakin.. original piston had a lil piece missing, and still ran like araped ape!! who knows how long it was like that

SAD PART IS IT MAKES YOU THINK OF JUST SELLING IT ALL TOGETHER

I TESTED COMPRESSION AGAIN 180PSI NO LEAK GO FIGURE

I NEVER HEARD A RATTLE OR ANYTHING WHILE IT WAS RUNNING

if you can get the peice out then just use the same piston if it has compression still

given that crack isn't far from the rings i don't want to take a chance and destroy the cylinder by tryin that.

i would guess this happened since you dont have an intake port bridge...without that bridge in there it would not take much piston movement at all to catch the piston skirt on the bottom of that port. that is a huge port to not have a bridge in it. Who removed it?

yeah man thats not just a little port work, it has the whole bridge removed and extra ports on the sides, thats a huge port job
