okay this winter I will have around 1200 to spend on my blasterI:I just for the handling..... so please don't suggest any engine mods
I was thinking.....
-burgard +3 +1______________450
-durablue wheel spacers_______89
-yfz450 front shocks__________200
-400ex rear shock ___________100

so what other mods would you guys suggest??????????

400ex shock shouldn't cost you $100 I just bought 2 of them 1 has aftermarket valving I paid $35 for, and the other is bone stock (needed cleaning up) for $15.

How about a stabilizer?

for sure not over $50.00 for a 400ex rear shock. i know what alos you can get KFX and z400 rears for even cheaper. i would just get the diamond j kit with shock conversion and that would be another $250.00 you could spend someplace else. maybe a g-force axle

I:II would say that if your going to go with a new axle check out a Durablue Eliminator. After checking out the axle strength chart on this forum it is pretty apparant that a G force is at the bottom of the chart, a Lone Star racing is twords the top and the DuraBlue is around the middle. Both in strength and in price. Just my 2 cent's though...

if you'r gettin an axle get a g-force is just fine ! all the axles will bend ! i have an rpm on my yfz . i race xc and mx and i bent it like a pretzel. i bought a g-force as a back up and it just fine ! ived also used durablue.:-D just my 2 cents.

If you're set on getting burgard a-arms, save yourself some money and get a set off of ebay. I got a brand new set ready to bolt on for $300.00. I just saw a set sell for $190 including shipping. Just something to keep in mind. All together I picked up my a-arms, front shocks, axle and swingarm for less then $1200.00. The only thing I didn't buy off of ebay was the axle.

a arms and GOOD shocks i have 3 +1 WITH WORKS on front and back with -1 swinger. mx this is a great set up. woods kinda sucks cuz i get stuck in the trees. or get long axle with good shocks all around. will really increase stability and landing. stay away from spacers and widening kits not good for jumping. u cant polish a turd so build up a good plat form.

aw you bastard. i was just working on a ltr450 today at my new co op. its worth 13k. jesus christ it is sexy. gota get some good pics when iget her plastics on tomorow.

you going to race the ltr after next year then? If thats the case, why spend the money on the blaster

you going to race the ltr after next year then? If thats the case, why spend the money on the blaster

yeah i have thought about that....
the reason I want to spend the money on the blaster is because i have to race it for one more season, and i am way to big for it.... i bottom it out on the littlest bumps

but it is such a hard decision:(

i will probably do everything as cheap as i can and just go with...

-diamond j 6 inch
-diamond j matching wheel spacers
-used yfz450 shocks
-z400 rear shock

Have your parents talk to the officals about allowing you to run in the open class with an ltr. Its not safe to be 6'3" and 185 lbs and racing a blaster. You need a machine that fits you. I know of a few kids that were 14-15 and they ran in the open class. For the height and weight, I just through those #'s out there, you get my point though
