Pay-Pal just lost their minds!!

I think I know what's going on. In September, I sold a bunch of stuff on E-bay. I used my personal Fed-ex account to do the shipping. Couple this with all of the shipping I've done with engines and parts. When I used my own account, Pay-pal had no tracking numbers or verification that I actually shipped the items I was paid for. It looks like they want me to provide tracking numbers to them when I use my account. I'll still use them for the small stuff like bushings and gaskets but not for the larger items. It's just too risky and too easy to get scammed. Thanks again for all of the help.

Glad it's figured out! What if the payment was sent as a gift?

They will not hold money sent as gift unless they suspect that you are trying to take it as payment for goods which requires a human audit. I have seen this happen as well though and once suspected what do you get ..... a 21 day hold, lol. Anyway, I'm sure you are correct, Ken, that the absence of tracking #'s could have triggered your mess. They do expect you to mark shipped and provide tracking and with high shipping costs etc. you get where I'm going. I do know people who have dealt with the 21 day holds and they are usually lifted after a number of successful transactions. I would suggest you have people pay, as you stated, for small things like bushings and provide shipping to paypal I'm sure your hold will be lifted after a short period with no complaints ... Though I would be mad for the run around

And Paulie, how does it cost you 300 for every 1000, the paypal rate for services is 3% which is 30$ for every thousand.
