parking brake removal

i seen those befor thats what i thought i'm just wondering about the brake cable now.so 01's dont have the senser?

I'm not sure if they do or don't have the sensor... if they do, it only took a second to remove...
 
its been so cold here i haven't even gone out to look at it in a while.

Your Blaster will indeed have a parking brake switch that'll need to be removed. It may be located on the other side of the handlebars, but you'll see it right next to the parking brake lever. See the pic ^^ to get an idea.

As for actually taking off the parking brake, you only need the shorter brake cable. A block-off plate is used exclusively on hydraulic brake calipers, which your older Blasty does not have. Vito's sells these shorter brake cables in their 'parking brake eliminator kits'. You can buy one kit for standard-length/+ 2 swingarms, and they offer another one for swingarms that have been extended past 2". This kit comes with a slightly longer cable, but is installed the same way. B)

Oh yeah, that is true... that is for hydraulic brakes... good call.

kool thanks, how do u remove the switch? do i need to cut any wires?
 
can you just unplug the the sensor and whatever is under the hood i want to remove the parking brake assembly only on the handle bars so i just have the lever do you really need the block off plate tho its an 04 blaster

Yes just unplug it, Not 100 pecent sure that you have to have a block off kit on these hydro's, I have one on mine but I don't think you have to have one, just take p-brake cable off. leave the rest on there until you get a block off or leave it as is.
