hey i have an 89 blaster and for some reason when i go to turn the gas on the gas just flows right through the overflow tube(not really sure what its called sorry) and im not a mechanic but im pretty sure its not supposed to do this. Now i know this may sound stupid but would a be able to clamp the tube so that gas doesnt come out anymore? i know its just for if i flip my four wheeler and i dont flip it to often so would that lead to some problems if i just clamped it?

same thing happened on my sled all i did was take the carb apart and cleaned it real good and then i took some fine grit sandpaper and sanded the needle to get the oxidation off

you could clamp that line if you did not want to clean your carb but it will prob just end up flooding out the motor so you wuld be better to clean the carb

cleaned the carb and it started up but NOT its reving really high? any ideas

if you mean NOW, then you have an airleak or if you have the tors play with the idle screw. To check for airleaks spray carb cleaner all over the engine and start it up,that should tell you were you have an airleak.
