Hey guys ... i bought an 03 blaster with a supposed wiseco piston to my son... his first quad...he did not know anything about riding... he took it out with his friend and i beleave he road it for too long on 1st or 2nd gear and got over heated to the point that shut off and woudnt start after got back cold... i look at the spark plug next day and was kind of white burned looking... i replace the plug and attempt to turn it on but wont start... if I keep kicking it does a little misfire but thats bout it...only one shot... and only does it after 10 or 15 kicks... should I open the top and start looking from there ?

Sounds like improper jetting and it lost compression. You may want to inquire about a leak-down tester now before you pull the top end off and make sure it doesn't need crank seals before you put another top end on it and find out by locking it up again that it does need them...

Once you've comfirmed that the engine doesn't leak, you can pull the top end off and see what happened. I have a feeling that something let loose in the top end... you'll know more when you get it apart. Definitely take pictures... we all love carnage pictures!

haha "we all love carnage pics" indeed! agreed tho, sounds like it was running too lean. get hold of a leak tester, it would be the correct way to diagnose... welcome by the way! :)

You prolly took out the rings and might have even partially seized it.
Time to pull the top-end. Take some pics.

I will guys.. ill take pics of everything and post allong the way ... soon i get to it.. sorry didnt reply b4 ... too many things at same time... i dont consider my self a pro but i defend my self and apreciate any advice..later..
