Our First Blaster Build

My son has raced mini's for the last 3 years and it was time to move up. Locally the next class is a Blaster/Raptor class. Since I knew 2 strokes I chose the Blaster. I bought a basically stock quad and started from scratch replacing almost everthing. I knew nothing about Blasters and read almost every post here LOL! Thanks to you all for the good info. Very nice site with good helpful people.

Thanks Guys, Ya the back is a PEP off a 250r shortened, fox spring and revalved for his 70lbs. Some of the mods are +3 swingarm, g-force axle, SMS +5 a-arms, Banshee nerfs, cfm air box, ASV levers, Lrd pipe, Vforce reeds and engine mods. He really likes the power and handling of the bigger quad, but say's it's alot of work compared to his cvt mini

Looks killer. Even down to the blue chain. Nice work on the details. It doesn't take long for them to adjust to the clutch. The kids seem to become automatic after just a few rides.

Thanks for the comments. As far as the pipe....ya I have nothing to compare it to. It came with the bike before the build. We race against other pipes and it pulls with them on the bottom and stronger in the middle. I had the porting done to match the pipe which I think is very important.

Thanks everyone. He had his first race on it last night and finished 3rd out of 13. Pretty good for just learning to shift. He was alittle slow on the gate, but did good.

Thanks, It's not hard. Cut the stock pegs off the mounting brackets and weld on a straight bar. The banshee nerfs will then slide right on. You do need an extended swingarm or the nerfs will hit the tires.
