I have a 96 blaster with 2003 plastics. Hubs, swing arm, shock cover, and seat are already orange. Gonna dye the seat black, then paint the underside of the plastics orange, the tops black, with the ridge on the fenders orange also. Gas tank and hood will be orange on the side with orange grille, and black on top. Tank will have a small carbon fiber scoop on each side to keep cool. I will mount orange leds inside the scoop, above each wheel, hidden by the ridge on the end of the fenders, and might do them on either side of the engine as well. I removed my headlight and run 2 20w bulbs. The leds I ordered only take 2 ma of power. Think it will look good? And will my stator have any trouble pushing it all?

Man haven't see you on here in a coons age. Sounds like you have a show bike build goin on. I like the LED lites. I think that with the two head lights ur pushin the stator. Is it stock 55w? Maybe be alright. I wanna see pics.

Yeah, traded my other blaster for a Banshee, blew the top end, and traded back to another blaster cuz I didnt have the cash to fix it. 550 plus.
So yeah, Im using spray paint so I can touch it up cheap when I get chips. Cuz I plan to still ride it hard. Gonna have to water proof all my connections. Hope to get it painted by the weekend. Ill put pics up as I go. Paint, scoops, leds.

Cool, i too used spay paint, as the rocky area would destroy a good PC coating and i'd have to use p[aint anyhow. Lookin forward to pics!

forgot to mention im also making the rims black. over winter ill probly get around to the frame. but thats still a ways away. the stock silver frame might look ok with the black and orange, but my white rims just wont do. i think the white is robbing me of at least 6 horse. lol. leds add 10 from what i hear and the new paint should be at least 8 horse more. AND STICKERS!!! STICKER ADD POWER!!! ......... ok, maybe thats too far. no stickers. lol

here is my progress so far. got base coat, layed tape and started the stripes and ordered my LEDs. cant get my pics up yet so ill just post the final product later on.

If you add an R sticker to it it adds more power according to Honda...

I LOVE the orange paint!! All my friends think I'm crazy for wanting to paint everything I own orange and black... probably cause white bear lake colors are orange and black...
