what was the easiest way u guys used to fit the shock on, i know to drill the shock out on the botom but what other ways have u guys used so u didnt have to modify the top bushing any info is appreciated thanks

You may have to buy a bronze bushing, and modify that one... The stock 400ex bushing is hardened, and will be tough to work with...

Absolutey should.... You could do it on your own, but it is touchy... Take the shop your shock (for ther outside diameter), and the shouldered bolt for the inside diameter, and tell them.... "make this fit" Should be an easy job for them to get it perfect.

i welded the top mounts on my blasty shut and just drilled them out to the same size as bolt that fits in the 400 rear shock

and it works just fine

havent ovald them out at all and i am 215lbs and go to the mx track and case a lot of jumps lol!!!

k i think i got it figured out how to put the shock on what have people done about the airbox to seal it back up dones want a bunch of water going in there ya know

i used the stock 400ex bushing and found a bolt to fit it. next u have space between the frame and bolt that i filled with nylon spacers from the hardware store like 30 cents. bolt and shock fit tight and woorks good. cheapest and easiest way ive seen. for the ressie i didnt have an issue didnt have to cut my box at all i drilled the 6 holes in my rear plastic that holds it down to the frame slightly so it pulls the plasticof the ressie. both worked great.

this is what i did to make it fit......

i heated the plastic up and bent it out with a screw driver

i didnt have to do anything to fit my yfz450 rear in my blaster, but i hear that you can get it to fit with no mods to the air box at all. sepcialized7 is the first i have seen to mount that shock with the air box lid still on.

k got the shock on doesnt hit the box but gotta work with the snorkal if i do what the guys a couple post above me did will i maybe suck up water? also do air lid vents help at all
