I got a 96blaster. I pulled the top end off years ago and haven't up until recently even touched it.but the other day when I pulled out the rag I had over the crank and rod two or 3tiny dime sized leaves fell into the crank case.! Yea I kno dumb&@* move right?I can see all 3 of the leaves but im scared that dirt might be in there as well Wat should I do?ps. Do.t exactly have the money to redo my bottom end

If it were me I would be worring about damage caused by exposure the the atmosphere, I would split the cases and inspect the bearings for corrosion.

Right answer is to split the cases, but I've worked on low buck projects before where "that just ain't gonna happen!".
Like Awk says, shop vac, and then maybe slosh it out with some solvent and 2 stroke oil, flipping it upside down if you can.
All gets down to how important it is to you.

Never enough money or time to do it right, always enough to do it over...

Yea i think I could get the leaves out with some solvent I got two out today with some good ol needle noses.but today I mostly juss took my blaster apart so i can repaint everything when i rebuild it . But I could rig a peice of fuel line with some duck tape to the end of my shop vac n suck it all out good n clean. And as far as corrosion goes the internals have zero rust.looks juss as clean as new minus the one leaf at the bottom lol. But ill have the motor out tomorrow n clean it all up. Thanks for the help

If you are taking the flush and invert route, remember to put a little 2 stroke oil in the crankcase before you fit the top end.

But if I must split the cases how hard is it to do n put new bearings in and what not? And about how much scratch am I gunna be looking at?
