So, coming back from a long days riding, I see a short-bus for sale along side the road... and it came to me...

Okay, what if we [me and my friends] buy that bad boy, rip out all of the seats except for the front 4 or 5, and then tear out the end of it and put a ramp to ride quads up in... it would be like a completely riding bus! Pull the quads right on in, put them in gear so they don't move, and be on your way! I would obviously paint the bus a different color so that its not an ordinary yellow bus, but I think it would be awesome! Do you need any sort of special license to drive them? I mean I know you do for hauling students, but if its personal use, it isn't any bigger then a camper or something old-folk pull around.

Any input?

Actually its not a bad idea. When i went to the GNCC the other weekend there was one there. There were 3 rows of seats on the passenger side. There was a set of bunk beds right behind the drivers seat. There were 2 quads in the back and a tool box. It how ever was still yellow.

The bunk idea is pretty cool too. Then you could make a nice trip out of everything.

Oh haha... I get it now. And yeah... I try not to make fun of them. Like will I call someone retarded, sure, but if someone truely has mental illness, I wouldn't ever make fun of them.

ok good i feel so much better knowing im not the only dumbass to think of using a bus. what my plan was to get a full size bus cut the back door part and make it fold down like a ramp on a trailer, and take all the seats out but like 3. i think you may have to have a CDL if it has air brakes but i would look into that, it would be cool rollin in a bus.

Yeah a full bus would be even better, but I think your more likely to need a license. My Dad has a CDL, he could always drive it. XD

I sort of figured someone would make a comment about it because it was a short bus lol.

I think the window said $3975 or something like that which isn't that bad. It was a 2000 bus and looked good as far as the body and stuff went, not sure about the internals.

Idk about there. But here in Ohio, you only need a CDL if its 20,001lbs or more. If its under, yer good. But there is a cert you need to drive a skool bus for a real school. But if you just buy one from like Myers (our local bus graveyard) you dont need a cert.
