oil ratio

From the techs I know and what I have seen, The injection pump problems a pure myth. Yamaha has been making the same auto lube pump for years. I have heard that same thing from dozens of people and not one of them has actually ever seen a failed lube pump. I've also heard this same myth from the outboard guys and none of them have actually ever seen a failed pump. Sure there are the few that say their pumps have failed siezing up their motors, but there is no actualy proof to it. Thats like saying the oil pump in the car is prone to failure while its pumping oil.
When you run a 2 stroke with a pump and slam the throttle closed the pump still pumps oil since the engine is still spinning, the pre mix bike will start starving for oil because the mix has been basically slowed to nothing while the engine may be winding down from 5000rpm, where as the other one is pumping oil based on engine rpm. Just something to think about. I have had no issues with my injector, nor do I think I will, I plan on keeping them injected aswell.

I never have seen proof either. I see benefit from removing it though. you gain less components to mess with, less weight, more reliability because failure does happen, and less drag on the gears in the transmission. Believe it or not that pump gear has a decent amount of resistance. With premix running lean or rich will always run the right ratio of oil.
