Alright what's everyones take on blocking off the oil injection and pre mixing yourself.. I know it would take the oil injection quitting working out of the equation but are they known to go out and burn up motors? Thanks for the help!;)

well i messed mines up once when i was running in my new 240 kit ( clever ) but I saved the pistons :P but aslong as you premix correctly youll be fine and then you know the quads actually getting proper mix

i think this topic has been covered about 300 times. use the search bar at the top pf the screen. but i just removed my bottle, removed my lines, and took the plastic gear off the clutch cover. then mix it 32:1

Don't just do it, especially if you know nothing about jetting. Yamaha techs have told me that the only blasters they see with blown top ends are ones not using the injection.

You can get better performance if you premix but it's easier to mess thing up as well. The injection system is almost idiot proof. I don't know anyone that has ever had the injection system fail.

that being said, I have mine blocked off.....

There is nothing hard about mixing oil and gas in a can. Look at the # of ounces of oil you need per gallon of gas for the ratio you want and mix it. Nothing hard about it. Premix your oil!

I have a spare cover with block off kit already installed if your interested. Would be an easy swap and you could always go back to oil injection if you decided too (by keeping your old cover).
