oil deposits on plug

huh, man thats how its supposed to act. i would slap your new carb on if you dont have mods put a 230 mikuni small hex jet in if you got a pipe or somethig mabey toss a 270 in for starters and ride that biatch. i bet your problem is plugs "loading up" then when you get on it the extra gas/oil is getting burned. edit: i see now you have a oko carb, lots of members use them so just ask around if you need jetting hwlp with it. i run a 34mm pj so im no help with your oko.

Really? enough oil on the plug to smear on your hand is OK? I though for sure that and the excess smoke would be a crank seal. Im still gonnna get some tests done in the near future.

if i putt around with mine or let it idle for extended periods it lets out quite a cloud untill you clean it out then its fine. nothing wrong with doing some tests man better safe than sorry.

yea sounds like your just a bit rich on the jetting. why did you get a new carb? because of this problem or something else? jets are cheap and easy to change. some people even let them rich so they have to worry less about blowing it up. is the oko a mikuni 28mm clone? how does it ride?

I got a new carb because the threads were stripped on the cap of the old one. I am pretty sure the OKO is a PWK Kehin replica and it can use kehin jets in it. I do not have any money for new parts because I just bought a new engine for my car. I need a reed spacer for the new carb to fit. I have not run it since I trashed the old carb.

you probally dont NEED the reed spacer, i trimmed my arm a tiny bit with a dremmel and my 34mm pj fits fine with no spacer. the carb can be tilted a little bit to help with clearance, i think its 14 degrees?

Really? Mine bumps into the clutch link pretty seriously. I dont know why its like that because somebody told me their 30mm OKO fit just fine. Wish people had pictures to show maybe that could help me figure out why mine wont.

like i said i trimmed my arm down a tiny bit with a dremel and i have my carb tilted slightly. i think i may have a pic give me a sec

here is one of what mine looks like, its very close but not in the way. i trimmed it a tiny bit more after taking the pic and i have had zero problems.
