Oil block off pics

im in the process of doing this right now, heres a few pics,
(notice the ghetto block-off that was on this when i bought it), im going the complete oil pump removal, (any one need one???)
found some aluminum bar stock layin around the garage, it may be a little thick, so i may have to recess the screws a little to get them to grab enough, or possibly get some longer ones would work also, cut out the shape, drill your holes "precisely", dress it up a little, and add a little gasket made the same way, locktite the threads and install, add a few finished pics later
there already is a diy post on step by step procedure, check it out

you caught that awful fast, good eye, i did think it was too thick also, but i replied to this post cause they asked to see some pics, and that was all i had, what do you think is a good gasket material, does it take anything special????

yea...little thick for using internaly on your engine...!!! as far as rtv goes..theres nothing wrong with using rtv sealer, works well, BUT ...remember that when you tighten down engine parts they have a very small tollerance , and all the extra sealer you use will be just squezzed out and you dont want that floating around your engine..causes issues...so use a very THIN film of it if you do, just barely enough to seal. dont go over board with it bud.
now with that said, i have a few bikes, a few sleds and a quad, I carry atleast two complete engine gasket kits for each of my toys out in my tool box, cause i like to do allot of engine mods all the time ,when i get bored , and when they dont feel fast enough to excite me anymore..lol. If ya go to a site called "completegasketset.com" you can buy kits for under 15 bucks and they will be at your door two days later by priority mail. using a gasket over rtv sealer is ALWAYS a better idea.
BTW.. just Dan will work fine !!!
I have a few pics of mine when i did ti, im at work now, ill post when i get home tonight
