Not wanting to start!!

I believe that it should hold 7 for five mins, if it goes down, to me there is an air leak, and often it can be the crank seal.
I have had a crank seal leak only a little on the tester, but leak more when the crank was under heat and revolving.

You prolly have to remove the case and squirt a little soapy water at it if it is leaking.

Before you remove anything squirt soapy water oll over the place to see if the leak is somewhere else.

If you say you have a little white smoke and it smells, that points to a seal or a crack in the crankcase.

If your sucking tranny fluid in it's gonna be the clutch side seal that is bad.

Ok bro as our discussion- Here is a pic of the clutch side The the crank seal is behind that gear (with out the nut) on the left of the basket you'll have to remove that gear to see it.

Thanks for the help bro I couldn't have done this sh*t without you!!!I:I

Glad To help! It's nice to be able to text back an fourth, and explain how and what to do especially when pics can be sent with the text.

So get yourself some Crank seals Like i said I'd do both sides, to be safe!

Then do one more leak test to be sure there is no more leaks as one big leak can hide the others!

Great job on all the Leg work! Rep for doing your own diagnosis!

Yes the text really helped, and was a lot faster way! Forsure, I don't wanna deal with the other side going out somewhere down the road. I'll try to figure out why that nozzle that screws into the gauge dont, or figure out a better way to use it!:-/
Rep for helping bro, I honestly would have given up on this thing and probably done something stupid (like throw it in the creek) if you, and everyone else in the forum hadn't of help. Thanks again bro!!:DI:I

Seal looks rusty? And there's a little build up on the inside lip of the crank case, here's a picture. How do I clean that or should I even worry about it?

I'd just wipe it with a rag, put a new crank seals in both sides, redo the leak test. Report findings back to us.

Put a dab, smidge- of lube on the inner lip of the seals before install white lithium will work fine.

OH and........................

Happy Birthday!

My B-day present is late but it's on it's way!!

Awesome, I'll be keeping an eye on the mail then!

Alright sorry it's been so long, so I got the new seals put in today cleaned the carb and was getting everything ready to start it up. When I finally tried it didn't do anything, one time it actually sounded like it was going to start and there was even a little smoke from the exhaust, but after that I couldn't get it to try to start at all. I'm loosing my patience with this damn thing!

You sure when you pulled the flywheel and put it back on that the little woodruff key is in? Very easy to fall out and get stuck on one of the coils

Yeah I'll try doing that tomorrow, I did notice that after I had been kicking it, I checked the plug and there was nothing on it. Does that mean I'm not getting gas to the plug?
