i have a Blaster dont no what year it is yet, i gotta call the local Yamaha shop. But i know its an older one. Im haven trouble with it, im new with 2 strokes so. But i got it for 100 ds. and ive got it to run once for me and then it died and wouldnt start again. then the next day my friend took it and rebuilt the carb and he got it to run for awile. i went to his work later that night and it started once and then died when he stoped it and it wouldnt kickover again and it hasnt startd since. it gets fuel and gets spark and gets a 140 compresion but it just wont start. so can some one please help. I am goin to be buyn a new ignition coil on monday to see if that works, cause it may not be getn enough spark.

i would check the reeds, clean your petcock really good and disconnect your tors if it isnt already done.

Do you still have the oil injection system or are you mixing your own gas and oil?

Have you changed the plug is the airfilter cleaned?

Do you know if the Blaster has been sitting awhile before you got it?

well i dont know what tors are and dont know were they are, so if u can tell me what to do with that it would be great. um i havnt checked the reeds yet but i was just goin to get new ones cause it has been sitn for awhile before i got it. its got a new plug and new filter. i mixd the fuel myself at 32:1 mix.

here is more info on it. we drained the crankcase when the carburator was cleaned and it was filld with milky water cause it had a hole in the crank case were the kick is and that was filld with JB weld for now, and we re filld it and rode it and it did fine while it was runin.

oh i have some quastions if anyone knows the anwsers to. 1. how hard would it be to put a starter on my bike and what would i need to do it. ( give me a list) 2. what parts would i need to put a thumb throttle on it, with usening the same carb. and could i use a newer Blaster carb on mine and up to what year can it be used to.

there is a diy on here to remove tors you should do it!
A carb of a newer blaster will fit!
not 100% sure about the tumb trottle but i think it fits straight on
what do you mean by put starter on it???

you cant put a starter on a blaster, mabey with a insane amount of custom work. look up tors removal in the search box and do that. i bet you find a problem with the reeds when you go to put your new ones in.

it wud take alot of work changin wiring etc and youd need some were to hold a battery

The yamaha blaster is a 195 cc air cooled kistart engine.

If you can put a push start on a weed eater you can put one on your four wheeler
