noisy top-end

compression seems normal, and its not like a piston slap but its definetly got almost a rattle sound. its a 2-cycle liquid cooled dirt bike. any sort of way to retard this or hide this noise without a complete top-end rebuild, im hurting for cash and i was thinking about just somehow hiding the noise and trading it in at the dealership and using the cash on my blaster build, thanks for any help

well, if it isn't piston slap it is more than likely a bad crank bearing, i wouldnt ride it, that is the same reason i am rebuilding the blaster

i had the same noise in my blaster wen i first got it but i rode my for a year before anything happened to it

i had that noise too on my blaster so i rebuilt it with a new wiseco crank on ebay for $150 it was a sweet deal

Maybe you are just hearing reed ticking. Some noise is normal.
