Hey guys. Do I recently bought a 00blastet. It had a seized piston. So took it apart, only to find out that the skirt was broken off inside the crank. After cleaning this all up and putting a .40 bored jug and piston on it, I find out it has no spark....

So I took the wiring harness off my 96 blaster to see if that was it.. Nope.. Then I got a new plug.. Nope. And then took off my boot, cut back the coil about an 1/8of an inch and put it back on...still nothing. Can't feel a thing when in put my pinky in the boot.. Lol.

Anyways right now im dumbfounded, and was reading up on this and some people say its the tors system??

What else should I try? Any help is very appreciated.

disconnect the tors, check flywheel keyway, clean grounds, ohm the stator and coil, then replace the cdi.

edit: also be sure the key switch is working properly

Is the kill switch on run or kill? Ohms test your leads, they could be broken or shorting. Put your plug in the boot and rest the electrode on the frame or the head and look for spark. Not sure if your pinky method would achieve results, but the plug won't lie, just look for the spark.

Believe me, ive done that many many times. and the whole pinky thing. if you put your pinky in the boot and pull it over, and u have spark, you will know it. lol. and its on run. lol. swapped them from my 96 over to the 00 and its still no spark. imma disable my tors system and then check my magneeto.
