hey guys I know this is probably on here somewhere but I can't find it.
my blaster was runnin fine I parked it to weld on a grab bar on back as well as a mount for an up grade on nose cone my bike is a 90 with the 04 nose I done a ohm reading on coil primary an secondary both ohm out fine checked lighting coil it ohms fine ignition coil fine pickup is a little short(not within spec)however turn the flywheel alittle bit an ohms go within spec briefly I have no spark where do I look next:-/

I was affraid of that My brother inlaw did the welding for me he disconnected the chassis ground an undid the wires from stator figured that woul protect it guess not thanks for the info

Many a ignition system killed by welding, especially those using high frequency units. May pay to check your wiring to make sure it is corrected right.

If all else checks out OK, the welding fried the CDI box and its time for a new one. Good news is you can probably get a replacement cheap with a little looking.
