Hello everyone! I have been lurking for a while now and finally registered!

I have a 99 Blaster I got from a friend about a year and a half ago on trade. I put a radiator in his truck for the blaster so for about $300 and a few hours work I was riding. When I got it, brakes barely worked, didnt idle, leaked oil, cluncked when shifting, headlight only worked on low, rear grab bar was broke off and didnt want to rev very much at all. It was all stock except for Razr MX tires and Maier front fenders but other than a few scratches, was in pretty good shape. Have done the following so far:

New front grooved EBC shoes
Rebuilt rear caliper and new EBC R series pads
New Yamaha rear grab bar
Regina gold chain
New front and rear sprockets (stock gearing)
New chain rollers and guide
Repaired stripped rear bearing carrier bolts
Repaired headlight wiring
Replaced shifter shaft seal

Didnt have to do much to the engine, new spark plug, flushed transmission oil, adjusted the carb and runs pretty good now!

your welcome!
they are fun little machines and you can really make em rip and handle good.

This is a great post!

Don't change too much at one time or you could be chasing issues as I have and cause grey hairs to come out!!

Very good advice! When making changes, always do one at a time, that way you can tell what worked and didnt work. A lesson I learned the hard way working on race cars, lol!

Cammyracing, yes this is a great site!! Everyone here seems very genuine in their desire to help others, not like some of the BS on some of the car sites. BTW, dig the Milan dragway pic, made many passes there over the years (including my first) and was the first track I went to as a kid. Fast cars, fast quads, its a sickness:D
