soooo, I've been wanting a 6.8spcII but because the lack of local gunsmith support and lack of necessary amount of rounds, I settled for a smith and wesson MP15 in 5.56/.223 and I'll get my 6.8 upper later when I get all the hand load stuff so I can use this bad bwoy to hunt real game. I mean, you can do stuff with a 5.56 but I just prefer extra power...

came with about 1,000 rounds, the gun has never even chambered a round let alone been fired :) $1100 thinkin bout sellin my 450 or 250 to fund the 6.8 and all the handload gear maybe even just another full rifle but if I handloads I want enough material to do another 1000 or so rounds of 6.8 lol. got a few hundred in .22 short and long rifle too for the single bolt action .22LR toy as well...

make it fun and just use the iron sites. I could drop targets at 300meters all day with just the iron sites on the m4. same gun

yeah, for now irons will stay, I'm new to guns so I gotta figure it out. I need a rail system 1st but depending on price I may just wait til I get the upper I want WITH a built in rail system and everything else I want already on it lol maybe even a .308 lol

the 450 won't sell unless I get a solid $3800 for it and all the broke jokers around here couldn't afford it. so gonna let the 2fiddy go when I actually do the rebuild since I can probably sell it pretty cheap and not worry much.

<-----Jealous as chit!
Not many things are as satisfying as pressing a trigger and letting loose of a few rounds.

The M&P's are great rifles. Very reliable. I like guns too.

NICE gun, I think I changed my mind, I don't want a combined foregrip/bipod (tpod) I want separate ones, after watching the 308 RRA LAR-8 I think the front added grip is important with large caliber/recoil lol

I'm hoping to do a 6.8 upper end. and down the road maybe get an AR-10, RRA LAR-8 or something in 308 just for the hell of it lol

got me a cheap quadrail handguard and vertical forward grip...

the 5.56 winchester rounds surprisingly have some sound to um as well as a little kick lol. sent about 70 of um flyin from targets ranging from 50-150 yards with the iron sights. had to adjust windage as it was way off out of the box but at least I could hit targets with the irons at 100+ yards LOL my hand guards came in yesterday so haven't shot it with them on, yet...

gonna get a decent scope, a beta c mag 100 rounder and my slide fire stock will be here by mid next week... (thus the need for a 100 round drum mag LOL) for anyone who doesn't know what a slide fire is. it allows you to bump fire from the shouldered position.

this is bump firing, this is a semi-auto rifle...

this is the slide fire stock, allowing you to bump fire while using conventional holding/aiming..

so it does what it says, but I ran outta ammo before I got to get it locked down LOL

only took 200 rounds with me and was letting other people shoot my baby too, so next time I'll take 400 rounds or shoot by myself LOL

I like to go to panther arms so I know what I'm getting into later on.:) They sell your model 556/223 for pretty cheap and you can buy the accerories for even cheaper even c-more red dots. hundred rounders pop bottle forward grips lot and lots of stuff but you gotta look for it. But right now I'm useing a remington 597 semi auto .22 with 2 thirty's and a few extra 10's. On top of that i've been modifing my rounds slightly........With my hollows I took a new razor blade stood it up on a flat sturdy surface and put a + in the middle so that way it will tear apart more. So far it's been working out pretty well they were making about penny size holes now their making between a quarter and fifty cent piece holes in the pack of my wooden stand up target.:D As for the upper reciever I'm shure your aware you can buy a flat top rail for it. Their great guns thats for shure. The only thing that bothers me about them is the notch just before the trigger, it takes getting used to for me. also is your an 18 or a 20" barrel?

Yea cole your right it's mostlikely a 16 with the standard birdcage flash hider....I thought the one earlier was an example the add on in post 6 seams really small to seem useful to just a full rail. I like to keep mine self explanitory and simple. Full under rail for 15 bucks and add a forward grip w/45rd mag and probably keep one with Iron sights and another down the road all decked out. haha Damn I love america guns and racing.

Post 6 is my AR. It has a full Midwest Industries free floating rail. It has rail covers on the parts that I don't use. Saves the hands when shooting without gloves.

KCI 100 round drum magazine... only loaded 60 as that was the last of my 55gr FMJs the rest of my 556 stash is soft points and I don't plan on hunting small game with the drum mag anyway. figured when I goto 300 blackout or 50 beowulf the drum will come in handy :D
