New top end, need a gasket set

Just had my top end done, i don't know which gasket set to buy any advice?? also how is the Namura set?

Cometic EST series, hands down, nuff said this thread can be closed now.

lol but seriously they are the very best but oem yamaha are good just stay away from the paper ones like k&s

im looking at Cometic EST series are there different sizes i see it says 68mm, does this have anything to do with bore size?

ok with this kit do i still need to put sealant around it and copper spray?

personally i wouldnt but im sure opinions vary on that, these gaskets are amazing man, they are everything the company claims, i never had to retorque a single bolt. however, for piece of mind i did check :)

Some do, some dont, your choice but make sure the mating surfaces are spotless.

To be sure always re tighten head and jug bolts after break in.:)

just to clarify i wasnt saying not to retorque, cometic claims no retorque with the EST series and i was saying that was true and i never had to. when i checked the bolts they were still spot on. but yes definately check

Didn't read as though you were not saying not to re tighten, you said you did anyway.

Tis always a good idea to re torque a copper head gasket wether it needs it or not.

Expansion /contraction of an annealled copper gasket may cause the gasket to squish due to hardening.

Not always the case but it can happen, and then leak.
