May or may not be getting a 5.0L Mustang GT. All depends on whether I can sell the jeep and afford the rest of my senor project... Sell the jeep for $3500 and buy one for $1500-3000.... I've been trollin around on the list... We'll see.

if you look at a 5 speed car.. look atthe torque boxes to see if there ripped out or cracking out... torque box is the rear where the lower control arms bolt to, 5 speed cars that were beat on the metal rips from the stress of hard launches.
also check the from frame rails where the go up be the sides of the motors, and the floor pans under the front by where your feet would go..
and the rear hatchs are known to rust out above the tail lights. common problem.. try to find a stock one or one with exhaust only. the nicer the car to start with the happier you will be!

trust me.. i got astang one time i thought was cherry tell the next day i noticed the roted front frame rail.. ... for the money 94-98s are gettin cheap.. you can get anice sn95 for less than a nice fox body

I'm looking at the 80-92 body style, the box shape, i think that's fuking filty looking... Also my dads a A.S.E certified automotive technician for 20+ years so i think with his and my experience we know exactly what to look out for and how to fix anything really. Also thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to make sure that my dad and I go over it before i commit.

get one with as few mods as possible. one thats had a bunch of bolt ons put on it usually means that they think its fast....which means its probably lead a hard life. a clean car is the most important thing.

Get a notch back they are the nicest IMO. Or the LX the GTs are heavier, due to all the ground effects and sh*t.

I had a 87 GT with T-Tops loved it. Hated when I had to sell it...........

foxes are not that fast to start with.. there 220 hp stock... ssp's were 240. a stock 5.0 car will do low 15s high 14s stock. .. a 96-98 corba is where its at

i love foxes but from a buyers point a sn95 is a better option, newer. just as much aftermarket, and the price for aclean sn is normally lower than a clean fox.

Yah but that comes down to personal prefferance on the body style..

I personally dont like any of the Mustangs after 93. But thats just me...

My choice is a 93 Cobra if I could buy any Mustang I wanted.

But I must agree a Cobra is the Baddest of all of them. Best years if I can remember rite is the 2003 with the Kenny Bell whipple charger stock.

That's what I ment.. And my person preference on body style is the fox body from the late 80's up to 92.

87' Mustang GT trade 4x4

That one is exactly what I'm looking for... Hopefully I can convince my dad in time.. I can just trade my jeep straight across.

Honestly, get a 94-95 if you want the 5.0. I like the fox body style better myself as well, but me and my mother bought one, and man it was beat. I will never buy a fox body as long as I live.

Well that one looks real clean and the all stock cant be beat. You have a good platform to start with.

You can always get the mass air conversion kit for it
