i have a bone stock 94 blaster that has very few hours on it for its age. im looking to put some money into it since i got it for free. i no i want to put a bigger swingarm for starters(thinking a +4....would like any helpful input on what i else i should do.

first off welcome to the forum!

a swingarm is a good start, then on to a arms, and a decent shocks all the way around. good tires are also a must

after that a really good budget setup for motor is a good pipe, uni air filter, oko or pwk 28-30mm, and a redesigned head. that will really wake it up power wise.

hydro brakes, good pipe and reeds, good airfilter, take lid off and rejet. but by far the most bang for teh buck is porting. I:I

here are some questions for you
1) are you on a budget? if so, how much?
2) what type of riding do you do?
3) what are you looking for from your blaster?

Looking forward to some other suggestions in this Thread. Got a 2000 Blaster which is almost stock. FMF Powercore II is the only aftermarket part.

Been looking for ways to increase performance or generally make the quad better. I:I

yeah man answer those questions. good post sheeblast. a full build to make your blaster completely bad ass could cost anywhere from 2500-5000. or you could make it much better than it is for a grand. just how far do you want to go. all the stuff in my sig is easilly pushin 3 grand.

Well the reason I got an older Blaster is because I'm on a very, very, very tight budget lol. I paid a total of £750 for it, which was pretty good, had just a complete rebuild, respray, new rear tires.

Was basically completely stock except for the pipe, FMF Powercore 2.

1) are you on a budget? if so, how much? - Tight budget. £500 - £600 Over some time.

2) what type of riding do you do? - I ride where ever I can, whenever I can. It rains a lot in Scotland so a lot of mudding, dirt tracks. Maybe some sand riding If I go to a proper track.

3) what are you looking for from your blaster? - Just for it to run well, sound good and ride well. For the budget I'm hoping I can increase the power some, also looking at changing the shocks. 400ex rear looks good and relatively cheap :)

this will make it ride better.
but for more power, look at the DIY section, you can do the +4 timing mod, have the head milled then rejet your carb and it should run a little better for now.

Aight, got my K&N Filter installed along with a new Iridium Spark. My first changes to the bike :D

Anywho, with a new clean filter will I need to rejet or anything?

you might have to change your main one size, maybe. or you just might need to tweak the idle air mixture.

i can tell yah you should take that plug right back out. precious metal plugs are bad bad bad. only time they should be used is when the intake covers up access. basically cars like the 6g72. That plus is gonna cause hot spots in the cylinder and actually turn into a glow plug.

copper all day ngk bpr8es COPPER!

If you dont believe ride around for pull some time.plug look at electrode under 20x and look at the damage. those nooks now are glowing hot spots in the cylinder causing pre ignition.
