I picked up a couple asphalt racing go-karts over the weekend. I got a tony kart with front and rear hydro brakes, yamaha kt100 2 stroke engine ready to run. I also got an emmick kart with a yamaha kt100 2 stroke engine ready to run. Double kart stand, 28 tires, 16 rims, 2 firesuits, alot of different rear sprockets and other parts. I picked it all up for $800 so it I'm going to do some asphalt racing next year. Anyone have any experience with these types of go-karts?

yes i have one (5.5hp honda + engine mods) and your going to be slow as ass...becuase your going to be facing kids that weigh like 85 pounds and have been racing karts since they were like 4....+ there dads spend ALOT of money into the engines and chassys getting them all dialed in +++the karts will be hard to sell

slow as ass? I'm going to run the sportsman class. Minimum weight is 350lbs. Driver + kart has to weigh at least 350lbs and you have to be at least 16 years old. Around here a tony kart will bring about 1500-2000 grand so if i decide I don't like it and want to sell, it shouldn't be too difficult.

im just saying theres going to be some skilled drivers because they have been reacing since they were little

my dad used to race he did for 15-20 years he ran 2 strokes. maybe i can get him to come on here and offer some advise about them....

That'd be great. I'm not real sure how the clutch's work on these, so I don't know how there suppose to be adjusted or what to look for as far as wear. Basically, I went to race and watched along with the girlfriend and she said she'd like to try racing one and i found these so, we'll see how it goes

sweet deal on those stroker. for sh*ts and giggles you should throw the blasters wheels on there and take her for a spin hahah

I bet you could run some pretty wild gearing with a blaster powered kart. only problem I see is the engine taking up half the kart lol.

Yeah, it'd probably take up some room but i have seen some with cr125 motors on them. They put the 125 motor on the right side and a radiator on the left side.

Looks like alot of fun bro.I have built many but the biggest I built had a 13hp motor on it.Nothing special just your standard go-kart.An old boss of mine used to race when he was younger and still had his collection a ferw years ago.I tried to buy but he was not parting with them cause of his kids.Keep us posted I am interested to see how much fun old men like ourselves can really have with these.lol
