Hello, back in the 2 stroke game. I love riding and hitting had trails in the backwoods of good ol MO. just recently picked up my blasty and a little bit of work and I love it. haven't owned a 2 smoke since i was a kid and been on and off with bikes and qauds. Gotta say I love my blaster its a piece. Looking to slowly build it up and have one mean qaud. Anyone know the best oil to gas ratio for one, its been bored up to a 240

@speedfreak, welcome to BF and welcome back to 2 stroke!

Please post your question in the appropriate section and i'm sure you'll get your answer in no time;)

Welcome!!

And welcome to the addiction :D

32:1 and 25:1 gas;oil ratio is most common. Make sure you block off the brass inlet on the carb when you disconnect the oil pump.

Also remember to re-jet for any changes like that

First off welcome.
Do you mean u have a big bore kit 240, or do you mean bored 40 over? .. Thats probably one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to an engines cc's. Either or you are going to learn allot from this forum. Thers great info along with great people who go out of there way to help out fellow forum folk. . If you have some time, check out some threads on leak down testing and jetting. Enjoy.. te]

ya like i said im just now back into 2 strokes, i was told it was the 240 big bore kit. i dont know enough about the qaud just yet but ill get everything figured out

You say you jetted for the bore but did you consider upping the jet one size to accommodate the change in AFR owing to less fuel in the mix?

It would be advisable to do a plug chop.

ironton mo, i see. obviously you hit st joe park sometimes. i've ridden there many times over the last 20+ years. i miss elvin's hill climb.
