You rang? What are you looking to do with your suspension?

Looks like that blasty needs a little help but not TOO bad. It does look like that engine was running on a lean condition. Do a leak down test and find the air leak.... aluminum doesn't just "flake" off a piston, it oxidizes.

Honestly, I just do a lot of open field and trail riding. We usually ride on some land my buddy owns when we go shooting. I figured with needing to replace the lower arm that has the ball joint welded to the spindle, I could just do a long arm setup.

Unless you're trying to set it up, you're better off to grind that weld off, and replace the lower control arm with a used one. Suspension parts pop up in the for sale section all the time CHEAP.

If you are trying to set it up, You'll need some specific sizes of chromoly tubing and a tubing notcher that can go down to 3/4". The rest is a bunch of math, a bunch of fab work, and a bunch of welding.

I've built quite a few front air suspensions for trucks that lay frame on large wheels and tires and still get considerable amounts of travel.

I'm just still up in the air on what all I want to do with this thing. I have a problem with leaving anything "stock."
