New chain

To be more specific, I run non o-ring chains. I run the highest tensile strength chain I can get. They stretch less and last longer. Just requires a bit more maintenance than an o-ring chain but that's my preference.

I run a non o-ring chain as well. JT sprockets w/ D.I.D chain. It's worked well. Although once I need a new setup I'm going to try Awks suggestion.

IF your sprockets were in decent shape, you could take one link out.

That's wat I was thinking

I've never had any luck doing that,

firstly...you can't just remove 1 link (which would be an inner)
you must remove an inner and outer link to leave an inner to match back up to the inner showing on the opposite end and the master to span and match up.

also, if it is stretched enuf that the temptation is there to remove links, the chain rollers will now be hitting the peaks of the sprocket teeth, instead of landing the rollers into the valley's of the sprockets, and quickly destroy the sprockets.
the distance between the rollers is designed to match up with the valleys of the sprockets, once the chain stretches that is no longer the case, no matter how many links you add or subtract,
time for a new chain and sprockets

As above, if that chain has stretched long enough to be able to remove 2 links, it is time for a new chain and both sprockets!

Awk will I need to cut the chain or ut fits right on?

Does any one have pics of their chain guide ? How close should it be to the rear sprocket mines seems a little close.
