Hi, guys names Ricky and I just got a 2001 Blaster for my son that I trade out on some work I did. And he has been having a blast on that think and they are fun to riding I'm already thinking about streching it about 4" and doing a DG or a FMF exhaust on it. We are going to take the whole bike apart and get it back down to just frame and paint the frame bright Green and do the plastics in Hot Rod Black and then do the Monster logos and decals over it. He likes the whole Monster thing :D
Hope to be talking and hearing from y'all soon cause I might need some help on a few things.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum! sounds like a good place to start, one tip; dont bother with a dg, they're just not worth much for the money. FMF is a good starter pipe system. good luck with the project and put up some pics!!!

Welcome to the forum! :)

have you had any other quads in the past? .. if not the blaster is a lovely quad for a first timer to strip and rebuild...

Plans sound good, I dont know since ive not had a DG but alot of people say they are crap.. where as ive heard the FMF is good..

Welcome to our sickness! Looking forward to seeing the rebuild, and of course, if you have any questions and you cannot find them using the search option, we'll probably be able to answer any question you have.

Yea, I myself have had a blaster when I was younger and then as I grow older I have had a ex 300 and a Banshee and a DS650. But I got rid of all of them and now it looks like I'll have to get something again to be able to keep up with him LOL I have a honda recon 300 right now.

Thanks guys and I will be putting up pics of the blaster once we start on it but for now I'm just going to let him ride it till he feels like he wants to chagne it. Cause I'm going to make him do all the work so that way he can start learning about how and what it take to make one be one of a kind.

welcome bro
keep us updated with pics of, and the boy wrenching, during the build !!!
