Just hold it wot as long as possible...the ring is tell tale as long as you hit wot until you achieve max rpms for the gear and then hold it for as long as is safe...if you are rich it will be darker, right now you are lean.

If the ring is the same colour as the paper bag, I would choose to go up a size or two on the main.

Although running a larger jet than #300 with a FMF is uncommon, it is not unheard of.
 
Is it possible to get to 5th gear without falling off of the bottom of the powerband?

It is not so much rpm you are looking at, it is more getting it to pull hard at WOT.

I suppose what I am getting at is, is it possible to get on the powerband in fifth, and WOT at a lower rev, making it pull harder.

Or am I talking out of a place where the sun don't shine?

i dont think i could but maybe i could try but its just the only place i have to do this is like 1/4 mile long curvy gravel drive way and right wen i get it to WOT i have to slow it down so i dont flip over my quad
