I have a 2001 Yamaha Blaster i just purchased would like to install a neutral light. Not that i need it just to have really. Were Would i wires this to and What kind of light could i use and mount?..Mine didnt come with a N light and i dont know if the 01's did or not?

You really can't put a neutral light on a trans like these because neutral is between 1st and 2nd, there is no way to really actuate a switch on the shift star, which is where it would have to be attached. If neutral was all the way down it would be slightly less impossible, but you are talking about engineering type stuff to do something like that.

Yea i may be over my head in this one Alittle Bit.Its way to much work then its actualy worth..Scrap the idea haha..I:I

well its between first and second on almost all neutral lighted sport quads
ur right though

correct me if i am wrong but if your having that hard of a time finding neutral then your clutch could be worn out or getting close

Shouldnt be brand new vito's clutch kit,Clutch cable, everything in there is good..maybe its just me..I've been riding my streetbike all Summer seeems alil different.im probably just use to that..Like sometimes i gotta move the quad forward to put it in "N" get what im saying? but that im sure is normal gotta move the quad around alil bit to get it there..

when im moving mine will downshift fine but if i stop in 6th its takes some messing around to get it into 1st but i beleive that is because of the type of trans it is.

side note, the quad would have to be running every time to power the neutral light.. (no battery) so if its running, its easy as pie to know if youre in neutral or not.

If your quad can coast without the clutch in... you're in neutral. Good enough light for me. Lol. Maybe you could copy a raptors set up?

Edit: Holy crap this thread is old.
