I put a 280 jet in my carb cleaned it real good just didn't move the needle clip. I noticed bc I have no top end speed threw the gears. Any suggestions on where I should start its in the middle now? The only reason I asked is bc I figured I would get a second opinion before I get I to it this weekend

What all mods do you have? middle should be fine

mods
pipe?
Porting/head mod?
air filter?
airbox lid on/off?
what carb?
premix fuel?

Extras
Elevation?
Current temps in your area?

Set the float height on the carb, and airscrew

Then we can tell you what on jets

Full fmf gold with silencer, pre mixed, stock carb, airbox lid on, brand new uni air filter, it's cold here in nj right now around 20 degrees

I would go for a 330 for the cold... A FMF pipe calls for a 270 with no other mods...

pipe 270
premixed +1/2
uni filter +1/2
cold +2 to +5

Anywhere from a 320 to a 340 would be close for the winter temps.

I would also suggest richening the needle a slot or two, but cannot remember which way is which on that atm...
