Need throttlecable advice fast! ... :-)

Hi all.

I have ordered a PJ Keihin carb.. the dealer that had it however only has theese "universal" throttle cables.. I suspect they dont work for thumb throttle? Or will it fit both normal throttle and thumb? It is in transfer so i havent seen it yet nor tried it.

But can someone comfirm that there are universal cables that work in both ? OR is there a cable for each application? (thumb, lever)...

Now the question is :

Can i buy another throttle cable from another Yamaha Quad that will fit my thumb and the PJ?

The reason for this is I really want to buy at a local dealer.. And dont order from another country and whatnot..

So my thought was maybe a throttlecable from a Raptor 250/450 would fit?


Can anyone advice/confirm/suggest a cable i can use? Which preferably comes from the local Yammie dealer.. I:I

is this the vito's pj cause it will probably come with a motion pro cable which can be used with thumb or twist thats what normaly comes with the aftermarket carbs

It is NOT Vito´s kit, because as you say there are a cable with... I need a compatible cable from something else.. or a Europe reseller!

that universale cable will work with your thumb throttle. i have 3 motions pros here and they all say universal and they all work with my thumb throttle and a the keihin airstryker

Ok thanks.. ill guess ill take my chances.. and try the one the dealer ships with the carb..

I just dont understand why on some sites they are very specific about LEVER OR THUMB please specify when order.. like there are a difference.. ? ..

But if he ships a cable for that carb.. i have to try and see if it works..
