Need some input

Well I have been doing some thinking, and I was wanting to fab up my own front a-arms. Basically something that is maybe gonna give me +1 +2 inches, or maybe some sort of long travel arms. Really haven't decided what I want to do, but the input I need is how hard would it been to fab something up, also I was wanting to convert from the crappy balljoints to maybe something like heim joints.

enought that I should be able to fab somthing up, the only think I'm really missing is a TIG welder, but that really isn't a necessity.

The hardest part I think would be getting everything straight/exact and both sides matching, other then that a basic set of a-arms is pretty straight forward.

I'd read some books and ask around.

oh, and some highschool kid on here a loong time ago made some nice ones in his shop class and they worked good look through some old posts and find it

well here are things to figure out when/if you do this. the most important if you're going with a long travel setup is to optimize the balljoint angles. you're going to want to set them up to make sure that you have enough misalignment for the sag/droop that you wnt to get. this might take some shopping around with heim joints as well. another thing is that you're going to want to make the top mounts adjustable so that you can set the camber. you also need to look at the lengths of the a arms to engineer in camber change as you go through travel.


then you have to worry about shock placement etc.
