I have a 2001 blaster. I bought the thing for 500 bucks with a bad source coil. The guy that had the blaster before me had put a Ricky Stator replacement coil unit in it. I bought a replacement Ricky Stator source coil and put it on. Everything seemed great after that. It ran good and started up easy every time. I put about 3-4 hours total of ride time on it before it died on me. I could have sworn it was a blown plug but that's not the case. I have no spark now and the source coil measures out of spec when I put the ohm meter on it. If anyone has had any problems with Ricky Stator or might know of another reason my coil would be burning up, I would appreciate the help.

Damn, another lost thread. I swear this wasn't here yeaterday....

Another member recently had a similar problem with a Ricky Stator source coil. The company said that they were having problems with those coils and gave him a replacement free.
