trying to figure out how the piece that has a blot going through it and has a spring on the back side suppose to go??does it ride on the shift star between the notches sticking up or on the bottom side of the star in the curved grooves

and if i rotate the star by hand how much should it turn, should it turn all the way around or what
a good pic would be nice or if someone could explain it good,or both would be great!

see black line, it will also ride in the middle of the Star point type ones two.

so the round piece rides in there were u put the black line at,and if look at the star and shift the gears with my hand should the star go all the way around or what, trying to figure out if why i only have the first 3 gears got something to do with this?the piece with the little roller and the bolt hole in it,whats the name of it so ill know whats its called,so i don't half to say the piece with the little wheel on it

well your shift lever also looks up a little high. put depends what gear are you in, in that picture too.

i bet that the shift tensioner , is preventing the shift lever to go down.
so get that piece back in place and try going thru the gears.

Sporty

So the round part rides in the grooves of the star and not on the notches?just trying to make sure i get it right

It rides in the center of the star edge,

those taller pins ontop of the star are for the shifter to grap and click up and down.

it only moves one click for each gear. each low point between the high points on the star are where your gears are. the one point on the star that looks to be missing is where that little wheel sits when you are in neutral

that's what i was afraid of, mine goes on the low point of the star and the low point in-front and behind the star and gets to the next top part of the star and stops half way,so i am guessing bent shift fork, thanks man nice ass blaster to by the way!!!
