i have an 01 blaster. it has a 3mm stroker kit its bored out 80 over a piece of sh*tt K & N that im thinking about getting rid of any help on that one it is always getting clogged. i also am running vforce carbon fiber reeds and my jetting is i think 265 main jet. i was going to get a toomy pipe but the guy i get my stuff from hasnt heard back from them yet and its going on 5 weeks now so im thinking about geting a dmc. my buddy put on on his banshee and is sounds sweet. need help on jetting and if i should get the dmc it is a lot cheeper then the toomy pipe as well. i also replaced my bottom gaskets but it still will rev up to full throttle after it warms up when i let it idle unless i put the choke on alittle. any help would be very helpfull

Yikes, gotta get that under control before ya blow sumthin' up.
AND, get rid of the K&N, replace with Uni.

Jetting all depends on geo location, carb size/type, etc.

WHat kind of pipe are you running right now and what carb/size, etc?????
 
im just having a hard time deciphering your lingo lol where u from? haha. but yes techblaster has me covered sounds like an air leak check ur gaskets and bring the torques back to spec
 
i thought it was an air leak but wasnt sure stock carb and i have an fmf but im bored with it and its bent a lot from when i rolled it. im so bad with jetting so i have no clue how to do it im in Pennsylvania idk if that helps anyone out either
 
260 sounds real lean honestly dude with ur current mods u should be running around a 300 to 320. i run a 280 with those same mods at 5600ft elevation so you deff need a bigger main jet. in PA ur range of elevations are pretty low in comparison depending where ur located
 
I would say the jetting is not too bad, somewhat in the range of okay, which leaves out too lean, hence the idle run ups. May take a slightly bigger Jet but with an FMF/Stock carb you are still in the safe range, for sure. Also do you run with airbox lid or NO???

Which takes us back to an air leak.

Has anything changed recently? Have anything majorly apart or broken down?

Drastic air leaks like this tend to come around the carb area, intake boot, etc? Check all fittings and gaskets first, then check them again.

Do you have means to do a leak down test? (recommended here)
Where in PA are you at???
 
are u sure tech? with a stock carb and the fmf i was pinging and popping like mad with a 260 even at my elevation

YES, positive.
FMF itself calls for a 250-260, I ran a 265 for 2 years in my bike when I had:
Stock Carb
FMF Fatty/PowerCore 2
NO Airbox Lid(even more Air)

265 main, stock pilot, 2 years strong, no issues, good plug chops, etc.

i have no lid on my air box but i just bought a dmc alien for it and i just did the rebuild it does the idle thing bad so that could be the main jet then get something bigger? as far as the air leak im almost completely lost on this part im tired of trying to figure it out. i feel like it needs more gas when i climb hills in third it just dies so i think i need alot more gas.
