hi everyone i got a 03 yfs blaster and i was doing some repairs on it and decided to clean the carbie so i unhooked the hoses and unscrewed the cap of the top of the carbie where the throttle cable goes in,i cleaned it and went to put it back on and now i got no accelerater,i mucked around with the top cap screwing it down then up and still cant get it working,i regret taking the carbie of now,can anyone help me what the settings is how far u screw it in and that please...

ya wen you put it bak on it sounds like you didnt put it in all the way and it didnt go in right.take it off again and work at it goin bak in smoothly. i did the same thing on accedent

That slide only goes in ONE WAY.

The round slide will have a groove in the side of it. That groove needs to slide into the little bump on the inside if the carb. It should be on the passenger side of the carb. This keeps it from spinning.

Once you have that groove lined up correctly, push the slide down into the carb. Now, you just have guide the needle into the small hole in the bottom of the carb. This is easier if you hold the carb upright.

Tighten the cap until it gets tight. Then, slide the little lock over to keep it from turning loose...

THATS ALL !!!!

i tried that screwed the cap on pushed the cable in tightened the lock nut went to turn throttle and cant turn it,that cap does it have to be all the way down then and then tighten lock nut,i didnt look at how it was b4 i took it of i should off,

You can check to see if the needle/slide is going to move up and down w/ the thumb throttle while the cable is still disconnected from the carb...

This way, you can determine if theres a seperate problem... Hopefully you didn't mess up the slide trying to install it incorrectly into the carb.

The whole thing is pretty simple really and it shouldn't be hard to figure out what the problem is.

thx mate got it going now,tho iv bumped the wires on the tors and now i got no spark
