so i have two questions but first i just got a 34mm carb in a trade and the problem is the only engine mods i have are a silencer and reeds so my first question is should i get a new header or have my cylinder port polished and my head redesigned??? i only have enough loot for one right now.. and i asking that because i take it i really wouldnt be able to run suck a big carb on a stock cylinder and header?????.. let me hear your opinions thanks

34mm is prolly too big for your mods right now, and you need a pipe/silencer/carb to get the full effects of porting

so, the usual routine is pipe/sily first, then porting/carb to match later when funds build back up

I didnt plan on getting a carb first but some one offered to trade for my stock one straight up for the 34 so i said what the heck why not ha

so now you have no stock carb ????

Thats what i heard and can some one give me an idea of how long it will take to send my cylinder out get ported and get it back??? 2 weeks? 3? Or what thanks

That depends on the person porting your jug. The best thing to do is to call the person that you want to port your jug and ask. It's mostly determined by the number of work orders they have.

I suggest Ken Oconnor Racing to do the work on your cylinder. His turnaround time right now is two weeks, this is his busiest time of the year also.
