Need help with axle carrier

First off I've been searching and am still lost so please help..
I have a 2000 yamaha blaster

Just about finished with my full rebuild and the last piece of the puzzle I need is the axle carrier.

So my question is what other carriers will bolt up to the stock swing-arm if any? will the 03-06 Blaster carrier work?

Also my rear brake is junk.. and blaster is completely stock

So basically if you were in my shoes and you needed a new carrier and a rear brake set-up what would you do?

only blaster carriers will work, i've heard that banshee ones can work with some spacers.


you can use an 03-06 to make bolting on a hydro caliper easy, or use an older one and get a GSXR kit from awk08

Nice, so the 03-06 will bolt up no problem? and what would I need for the hydro set-up for the 03-06?

you'd need a master cylinder, line, caliper, a way to attach the master cylinder to the frame, and either an 03-06 pedal or mod the one you have

you can use the one that's on your axle

or if you want to save some time later and make it wider now you can get a banshee axle , carrier, and rear brake caliper. then all you need is a pedal from an 03 - 06 blaster.
you will get a few inches wider and hydraulics all in one . check ebay. ill check now to see if i can make it easier for ya.

here so this is only an example for you as this is pretty expensive. but it will give you an idea of your option
